Rod review - Shimano Bassterra

Bassterra is a well-known fishing rod by Shimano and has been greatly used for luring freshwater and saltwater species. Be it Baitcast or Spinning rod model, this rod is light and powerful. The Bassterra exhibits the characteristics of what an ideal bass rod should be like.

Cross Carbon tape on the rod increases strength during the different angles of flex. Designed with high line poundage capabilities and ergonomic full-cork grip, be assured of a better grip during rugged fish fights. In addition, a double wrapped SiC guide allows silky smooth travel of the line through the guides. The Bassterra also comes with a Fuji Reel Seat for a firm attachment of the reel.

As it is build as a bass rod, the only drawback is the 1st top guide need a bigger swivel to prevent it from going into your guide. Nevertheless, it is an excellent rod to own.
